We put on our Viking helmets and fished this past Thursday hoping to find the bluefins in a eddie that was being overrun by cooler water. The wind did lay out for us but the tuna fishing did not produce. We found 65 degree water but did not have a tuna bite. Plan "B" did work out for us as the large/Xlarge sea bass chewed quite nicely and we ended up with not quite a limit. The good news on the water temp is that another eddie is developing on the heels of the last and the core temperature of it is nearing 70. Tunas ??? Stay tuned...... Mako fishing is a definite possibility right now in some of this "blending" water inshore........ |
